Help The Bakers Visit Canada in 2026!
Hi friends!
We're back with a super brief update and a request for your help. But first, we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas season with your family and loved ones. Our Christmas was quiet, with Miriam recovering from surgery (all is well with her health, praise the Lord!), and we spent Christmas and New Years with dear friends.
As we look toward 2026 and what's to come, we are tentatively planning a trip to Canada this summer. It's time for us to have a furlough in Winnipeg in order to reconnect with our supporters, friends and family, and we're celebrating 10 years of living and serving in Romania this August. Our girls also need some quality time with their grandparents and cousins and to spend time in their passport culture.
The problem is, traveling to Canada for furlough comes with increased costs, additional expenses, and financial strain. Every time we've travelled to Canada in the last 10 years we've managed to cover the costs mostly from our own savings and resources. Some of you have given us generous one-time gifts when we've visited Canada that have also helped cover travel costs, and we appreciate these SO much! This time, we don't have much in the way of savings or resources to fund the trip ourselves, and travel costs have also increased.
So, we're asking for your help. IF you or someone you know has the resources to help us, we would be so grateful for the help. We're praying for at least $4000 to help cover the costs of our flights and other travel expenses.
